This is sadly, just a dream, as all of us, at some point or other undergo some physical discomfort or the other. This shall be true for all, except those among us who reside in a protective bubble!

There are just some diseases and conditions whereby when we have experienced them once, we don’t want to experience them ever again in our lives. Either it is too painful to bear, the discomfort was too much, it interrupted with our daily lives when we became to sick and out of it to function normally or whether it was simply that it was a traumatic experience to have to go through, the fact is that once we have had a disease and experience what it was like going through that, we don’t ever want to go through it again. And a yeast infection just happens to be one of those conditions.

Now a yeast infection just happens to be one of those conditions which you never want to go through again once you have had it before and if you have not had it, preferably you would do your best not to get it if you can because the experience is such as unpleasant one to begin with. What with all the burning, itching, soreness and not to mention the bad odor, anyone who has it will be running for the nearest medication for yeast infection or cures for yeast infection that they can get their hands on to get rid of it as soon as possible.

A cure for yeast infection is not that difficult really, as you can find plenty of information that you need either online, through a medical specialist or by asking around at people whom you know have experience it before and will be able to tell you what to do in this instance. But once the whole unpleasant experience is over and done with and you can breathe a huge sigh of relief while making a mental note to yourself that you never want to experience something like that again, don’t throw away the medication for yeast infection or for yeast infection that you have because now it is time for the bad news – unfortunately, yeast infection does have a tendency to recur.

Worry not though because there are some handy tips which you can practice just to be on the safe side and make sure you minimize your chances of having this unpleasant condition reoccur and having to go through all that all over again. Here is what you can do:

  • Cotton panties are advisable because cotton is a natural fabric having pores. This gives the skin breathing space and negates the growth of bacteria and fungi. Fabrics that do not have pores also make the genitalia warmer, hence giving the yeast better conditions to multiply.
  • Be sure to keep your vaginal area clean at all times. This is the area that is most prone to getting yeast infection and one of the most common because it has the ideal breeding ground for bacteria and it is an area which is much more sensitive than that of your other areas. Always keep it clean as best you can and this will help prevent of at lease minimize the bacteria’s chances of thriving in that area.
  • You would also want to try and avoid using scented soaps or powders for that area because it is sensitive and you don’t want to risk it. Also, it is not a good idea to share towels and washcloths as you have no idea where they have been or what the person before you who used it might have had. It is best to get your own set of towels and washcloths and chance them as frequently and as often as possible so you are constantly having new ones instead.

Hence, the biggest possible advice against recurrence is to keep one’s vaginal area clean and dry. But, to be on the safe side, keep medication for yeast infection close by. You may just need it.
